How do I book?

Bookings are generally made through a referral agency or case worker.  For any enquiries, please call the office directly on (03) 5983 1819 or email us to request a booking form.

 

Do I need to bring anything?

Yes, you will need to bring certain items with you as all holidays are self-catering.  Each house is equipped with basic crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, blankets and pillows, a washing machine and a television.  You will need to bring the following items.

  • Food
  • Bedding – Sheets / sleeping bags or doona
  • Pillow Slips
  • Towels
  • Tea Towels
  • Cleaning products
  • Toilet Paper
  • Torch

 

Am I allowed to bring a pet?

No, unfortunately no pets are allowed at Presentation Family Centre, with the exception of assistance dogs for the visually impaired.

 

What accommodation is available?

We have 6 furnished houses available. Please refer to “Accommodation” on the website for more detail.

Where is Presentation Family Centre?

Presentation Family Centre is located at 122 Balnarring Beach Rd, Balnarring Beach on the Mornington Peninsula.

What is there to do at Presentation Family Centre?

PFC is in a quiet residential area, with farming properties close by.  

 

Within walking distance is:

  • Balnarring Beach 
  • Balnarring Village shops with supermarket, chemist, cafes and restaurants
  • Balnarring Village Common (a regenerated native garden area with seating)
  • Community skate park and playground

 

There are six houses and a playground on site, and a “Wilderness” area and labyrinth at the back of the property that all guests can explore. 

 

The Mornington Peninsula is known for its beautiful natural environment, walking/bike tracks, beaches, wineries, and picturesque neighbouring towns.

What is provided?

We provide:

  • Fitted sheets, pillows with pillowcases and light doonas/quilts for each bed
  • Basic crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils
  • Kettle
  • Microwave
  • One tea towel and basic cleaning tools
  • Washing machine
  • Television
  • Heating/cooling
  • Wi-Fi
What should I bring?

You need to bring:

  • Heavier doonas, quilts, or blankets (light doonas provided), 
  • Flat sheets
  • Towels and bathmats
  • Food
Where do I park?

Each house has its own parking spaces. Any additional cars can use the office carpark. Please the site map showing the layout and entrances for each house, the communal facilities and office.

Do you have Wi Fi

Yes. The Code is in the welcome books and on the wall in the kitchen.

What programs do you run at Presentation Family Centre?

Guests can holiday independently at PFC or join us for school holiday programs and retreats. 

How many days can I stay?

The minimum number of nights stay at Presentation Family Centre is 2 nights. An additional amount is charged for cleaning for bookings under 3 nights or for groups. Please see the rates for more information.

When and how do I check in?

You may check in to your house after 2pm on your booking date.  Our COVID safe practice means that you do not need to come to the office. All the information for checking into your house will be provided to you before arrival.

When and how do I check out?

Check out is 10am on the date of your departure. This allows our cleaners to prepare the houses for next guests.   Please leave the keys in the key safe outside the houses.

On the day of check-out, please remove used fitted sheet, used pillowcases, and used doona covers and place them in a bundle on the floor of the bedroom.  

What is the cost per night?

How many rooms/beds in each house?

Each house has 3 or 4 bedrooms and sleeps between 6-10 people. To see the layout of each house and bedroom, please click here.

Does Presentation Family Centre provide food?

No.  You will need to bring your own food.

Can I bring my dog?

Only assistance dogs are allowed on the premises, and verifiable certification must be provided prior to arrival.

Is there a staff member on site when I check in?

The office at Presentation Family Centre is open between 9am-3pm from Monday to Friday.  To prevent the spread of COVID-19, we discourage guests coming into the office.  Please call (03) 5983 1819 or email us.

Who do I contact if I am a guest needing help after hours?

In all emergencies, please call 000.

For non-emergencies, during 9-3pm, please call the office.

If the matter is urgent, please call (don’t text) the mobile phone: 0459 333 301. Please leave a message with the reason for your call.

What safety measures are in place to protect guests

Presentation Family Centre has a COVID safe plan that includes cleaning by experienced cleaners, contactless booking, COVID sign-in QR codes, hand sanitiser in all houses, signage in houses and limits on the number of people in the office and shared spaces, full refund if cancelling due to COVID or feeling unwell. 

Will I lose my deposits/money if I lose my booking for a COVID related reason, eg. A lockdown?

No.  Deposits will be refunded if you cannot attend due to a lockdown or if you are unwell and are getting tested for COVID-19.
